About CostUse

CostUse helps people answer a simple question before they ship: how much will this usage-based product cost at real volume?

The site focuses on practical calculators—especially for large language model tokens—with fixed volume tables, text estimators, and configurable input/output mixes.

What we publish

  • Per-model AI cost pages with list prices from public provider documentation
  • Starter calculators for APIs and other metered cloud services
  • Transparent verification dates and source links on every pricing page

How content is made

Pricing figures are taken from public provider pages and recorded with a last-verified date. When a provider changes rates, pages should be updated rather than left with silent drift.

Token counts from pasted text are estimates for planning. They are not a substitute for each provider’s official tokenizer or invoice.

Independence

CostUse is an independent reference project. Calculator pages are not paid placements. When affiliate or advertising programs appear, they must not alter the math shown in the tables.

Who maintains it

CostUse is maintained by Kevin Henrique. For corrections or partnership notes, use the contact page.

FAQ

Are these official invoices?

No. They are planning estimates based on public list prices.

Why can my real bill differ?

Caching, batch discounts, free tiers, regional rates, taxes, and extra fees are outside a simple unit calculator.

Can I request a new calculator?

Yes. Send the service name and a public pricing URL through the contact page.
