Using CostUse
You can browse CostUse without creating an account. The text estimator calculates a token estimate in your browser; it does not send the pasted text to a CostUse server. Your theme and display-currency preferences are saved in browser storage on your device.
Information processed by service providers
- Cloudflare delivers CostUse pages and may process connection and request details, such as an IP address, requested URL, and browser headers, to route and protect traffic.
- Google Analytics is loaded on costuse.com to measure site use. Google's standard web setup collects usage and session statistics, approximate location, and browser and device information. Its
_gacookie distinguishes users; an_ga_<container-id>cookie persists session state. - If you e-mail CostUse, your message includes the address and any information you choose to provide.
CostUse does not ask you to enter calculator text into an account or submit it to the site. For questions or requests about information sent to providers, see their privacy information and Google's Google Analytics data and privacy guide.
Messages and retention
Contact messages are kept while they are needed to respond or maintain a record of the request. Cloudflare and Google manage request and analytics data under their own policies and the settings of their services; CostUse does not set those providers' retention periods.
Requests about your data
The rights available depend on the law that applies to you. In Brazil, Article 18 of the LGPD includes requests to confirm processing, access or correct data, anonymize, block or delete certain data, request portability under applicable rules, learn about sharing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Send requests to kevin@skdesu.com. Read Article 18 of the LGPD.
International transfers
Cloudflare and Google may process information in countries other than yours. Their privacy information explains how each provider handles international processing.
