What this site does
CostUse publishes public calculators and reference pages. You can use most pages without creating an account.
Calculator inputs you type in the browser stay in your browser session unless you voluntarily send them by e-mail.
Data we may process
- Server logs (IP address, user agent, path, timestamp) operated by our hosting provider for security and reliability
- Messages you send by e-mail, including the address and content you choose to share
- Aggregate analytics or advertising signals if those scripts are enabled on the production domain
Legal bases
We process technical logs for legitimate interest in operating a secure website. We process contact e-mails to respond to your request. Where consent is required for non-essential cookies or ads, we rely on that consent.
Sharing
Infrastructure providers (for example Cloudflare) process requests as processors/operators to deliver the site. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Logs follow the hosting provider’s retention defaults unless a security investigation requires longer review. Contact e-mails are kept only as long as needed to handle the conversation.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, or objection regarding personal data we hold. Write to the contact e-mail. For Brazilian users, rights under the LGPD apply; complaints may be directed to the ANPD when appropriate.
International transfers
Because the site is served on a global edge network, request metadata may be processed in multiple regions under the provider’s terms.
Children
CostUse is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
